How to Tell if a Rose is Fresh

Updated: Feb 21, 2022

The average vase life of fresh-cut roses is around a week. To differentiate between Day 1 and Day 5 roses, we look at their petal and stem conditions. Watch the video below to find out how.

Besides utilising our sight and touch to access the petal condition, we can also rely on our hearing. Yes, you heard me right :P Check out the following video and hear the difference for yourself!

At Jan's Floristry, we use only the freshest roses for our customised bouquets. However, the flowers in our freestyle bouquets may be a few days old, which explains the price reduction from $60 to $40. Nonetheless, we access every bouquet very carefully to ensure that there are no wilting flowers. You have our assurance on this. If you find our products unsatisfactory, we will gladly do an exchange or credit refund for you. Jan's Floristry places customers at the heart of our business, and we are known for our reliable and top-notch service. Here are some reviews by our customers.
